Neighborhood Streetscape

A main avenue lined on one side with nineteenth-century rowhouses of grand proportions and, on the other, a nineteenth-century park. Right down the middle, cars. Always, always cars, though the crosswalk is the city’s concession to civility. Right Turn on Red transforms crosswalks into targets, with pedestrians centered in the crosshairs, but they remain a nice idea nonetheless.
